Here you'll meet sports enthusiasts climbing the hill towards the Bastille. A refreshing stroll in summer and even more poetic in winter, the discreet montée Chalemont offers a privileged view of the city.
As you climb the steps, all becomes quiet... The ropeway is silent on its cable. Pause halfway up, and you can already see the café terraces below, and the tangle of red roofs of the Saint Laurent district. The city murmurs, and the Isère rumbles. A few metres higher up, your gaze takes in the outskirts of the city: the hills grow bolder and become mountains in the distance. Grenoble and its symbols rise proudly: the Tour Perret in its natural setting, the Three Towers, the spire of Saint André church or the bell tower of Notre Dame. You'll smile, satisfied to have discovered this walk in the heart of the city.
