From the Fiancey park to the Belvedere of Sialet

See and know: Scialet is a dialectal term designating the chasms and surface depressions in the pre-Alpine areas. Scialets, like other karstic and underground phenomena, are explored, studied and listed by speleologists.

The departure will be made from the Park of Fiancey, to take the way which skirts the Park between Néron and the pond of Fiancey. Leave the Parc de Fiancey and take the chemin de Fiancey on the right and continue until the rue du Néron. At the place called " Le Muret ", go straight on for 120 m and take on the right the path towards " La Monta ". Drive along the Balestras stadium. At "Les Brieux" turn right towards "Champy". At " Champy ", pass the remains of an old property entrance and turn left immediately and go down to the street of Champy. Turn left and go to the Vence bridge. Cross the bridge, drive 30 meters and turn right at the foot of the road to Quaix. Take the stairs on your left and go up to the D105. Pass the guardrail and carefully go up the road on your left for about 50 meters. At the bend in the road, turn left onto the path leading to "Bellevue". At "Bellevue", go straight up towards "Proveysieux". At "Rigaudière", turn left and cross the hamlet. After the fountain, take on your left the path towards " Pissou " and " Sialet " in the undergrowth for 260 meters. Turn right on the path going up to the center of the meadow. Be careful, this path is not very marked and is not very visible when the grass is high. In the center, a marker indicates to go up on the right towards an opening in the hedge (junction with another meadow). At this opening, take the much more marked path on the left and go up to the place called "Le Pissou", then turn left on the big track to the place called "La Grange du Pissou" (630m). Follow the big track in front of the barn. A little further, pass a large gate (close it after your passage), then a little higher, take a narrower path which goes down on the left (yellow cross on the track). Go down the path, until you find a meadow and pass a small gate, making sure to close it. Reach the viewpoint of Sialet (663 m). The return will be done by the same route.
