An exhibition retracing the 40-day Nordic expedition initiated by Albert Tobey in 1948, in the company of his mountaineering friends Dr. Lemaître and film-maker Gérardin, at the Environment centre in Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin.
Through the film, extracts from the book and period objects, we immerse you in the history of skiing at a time when men were carried away by the Cap Nord adventure in Norway. Mountaineering friends: Robino, Muller, Juppet, Gillet, Rachy and Cabanne.
In partnership with the Chamrousse library and the Médiathèque Départementale de l'Isère (MDI). Creation of the "Maison du Patrimoine et de l'Environnement (MPE)" Environment centre in Chamrousse, in partnership with the children of explorers Tobey and Gillet, who share their family archives.
