Thanks to their success in the glove industry, the Jouvins built several mansions in the commune.
At the start of your tour, you can enjoy the Clos Jouvin park; a landscaped park with an English garden, ornamental ponds, staircases and groves. It was created by the Jouvins when they acquired the building in 1860.
Today, the building is owned by the Mairie de Jarrie and houses the Musée de la Chimie.

Go along Montée de la Creuse to no. 203. This house is called Valentine, and was acquired in 1878 by the family who rarely occupied it. It is now a private residence.

Continue along the uphill road to the Charbonnaux church. Behind it stands a pond, installed by Jules Jouvin. When he was a town councillor, he had the marshes drained and a canal bored, making the Jarrie plain suitable for farming and other activities. He also built a water distribution network, with numerous public ponds like this one.
Follow the path towards Le Plâtre and Haute Jarrie. You can stop off at the Réserve Naturelle de l'étang de Jarrie. It is home to numerous species of dragonflies, butterflies and birds such as the bittern.
Follow the road to Château de Bon Repos. Jules Jouvin bought this 15th-century château in 1874. He never maintained it, and the roof fell in 1917. It was sold to the town council for a symbolic €1 in 1976. Since 1978, the Association de Sauvegarde et d'Animation du Château de Bon Repos Jarrie has been working to save, restore, research the history of the château, and organize events and shows there. The château is open to visitors on the third Sunday of each month.

Take the Bouchassey path down to Basse Jarrie. Cross the Madeleine bridge over the Romanche and visit the Musée Autrefois, which traces the history of local life in the 19th century, including a room dedicated to glove-making and the Jouvin family.
