PORTECTED BY THE TREETOPS

For nature lovers, the parks and gardens are wonderful peaceful places and there are around thirty of them throughout the urban area. If you’re feeling sporty, take on the climb up to the Jardin des Dauphins. For children, there’s nowhere better than the Parc de Fiancey in Saint-Egrève, and for a romantic stroll, go to the pretty Parc des Etangs in Meylan.

IN THE SHADE OF GRENOBLE'S HERITAGE SITES

WELL HIDDEN FROM THE SUN

There are many advantages to Grenoble’s cultural life, and fresh air is most definitely one of them! Wander around the museums and learn about the history of the Isère and Dauphiné. The two underground archaeological sites are well-kept secrets of the locals of Grenoble: you will most definitely be able to cool off at the baptistery in the Musée de l’Ancien Evêché or in Saint-Oyand crypt at the Musée Archéologique de Grenoble !

ON THE HUNT FOR SOMETHING MORE ORIGINAL

Musée de la Révolution Française inside the Domaine de Vizille, is also a must-see for fans of heritage sites, looking to cool off !

The freshness of nature

AT THE WATER'S EDGE

The advantage of Grenoble Alpes is that you are always just a matter of minutes from nature, whatever your chosen means of transport. There are countless lakes and leisure complexes, which are unmissable for some quality time as a family or with friends. Don’t forget that you’ll be sharing this natural heritage with others, treat it with respect and leave it exactly how you found it, for those coming after you.

13°C ALL YEAR ROUND

In the event of a heatwave, the region’s caves have a constant temperature all year round, for a welcome break from the heat outdoors. Whether you choose the vast Choranche caves or the legendary Sassenage ones, in any case you can expect an adventure into a parallel universe. Inside this world of water and rock, you’ll forget all about the outside world for a while.

AN ADVENTURE UP IN THE TREETOPS

If the heat doesn't stop you from exploring in the great outdoors, head to the forest for an adventure up in the trees! There are several treetop climbing courses around Grenoble Alpes: Acrobastille in the city centre, Indian Forest in Chartreuse and Odyssée Verte in the Vercors.
