Nestling at an altitude of 1,326m, Col de Porte lies between two of the Chartreuse's most famous peaks: Chamechaude, the highest peak in the mountains and Charmant Som, a magnificent mountain pasture.

Col de Porte is 30 minutes from Grenoble and accessible by public transport. There are no shops on site, but there are two restaurants, apartments to rent and the mountains.
Nordic skiing and Ski touring
Skating or alternative skiing, Nordic skiing has become an essential part of winter sports. The Chamechaude Nordic ski area has 15km of snow-covered slopes with three runs: one green, one blue and one red.
And for an evening of skiing under the stars, the Nordic area opens 10km of cross-country ski trails every Thursday evening until 9pm. Ski by lantern light and take time to admire your surroundings, you might just spot some wild animals.

Fun and thrills
Snowboarding areas are set up every winter in the meadow area, with a beginners’ snow park, an intermediate snow park and a fun slope (depending on snow conditions). For a real thrill, take to the slopes on a snooc (monoski with a seat).

When the ski lifts close, the snow groomers hit the slopes. At Col de Porte, professional snow groomer Clément welcomes you aboard his machine for a unique experience. At night, the atmosphere is very different.

Col de Porte is a family-friendly ski resort with 3 downhill slopes, ideal for getting to grips with the slopes and building your confidence little by little.
Learn to ski with the instructors at Col de Porte’s three ski schools. They offer private and group lessons in downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, biathlon, mountaineering and snowboarding, as well as training in the use of avalanche transceivers.
