La Pierre du Carre Refuge
The hut that used to be a shelter for the sheperd, was transformed to become a dormitory for the hikers crossing Belledonne. There is nothing like the view you will admire from the refuge which will be even better if you are enjoying it while eating one of the hosts specialties !

Acceso
How to get there ? Located below the Col du Claran, at 1760 m altitude, the trail begins at the Super Collet parking lot. Take the path that goes North on the right of the Claran chairlift, then follow the yellow signs indicatin "Refuge de La Pierre du Carre". Once you reach an intersection, turn right in the direction of the mountain hut. you can also reach the refuge taking the path of L'arête de l'Evêque.

Planes
Il y en a pour tous les goûts de la petite balade à la randonnée à la journée. Pour la balade, à proximité du refuge, on peut flâner à la prairie aux orchidées et linaigrettes, ou se mettre à l'affût des marmottes, tout cela sous le col de Claran, soit à 15mn de marche du refuge. On peut également faire la prospection gourmande aux myrtilles, framboises... Il y a la possibilité de rejoindre le parking en passant par les Plagnes.
Si on part pour une randonnée à la journée : le sommet le plus proche est le Grand Charnier à partir duquel le point de vue s'ouvre sur l'intérieur de Belledonne, ou plus loin Périoule, les sources du Veyton, le refuge du Merlet, les lacs Morétan...
