The 73rd edition of France’s oldest lumberjack competition will take place in 2026.
Objective: to cut as many logs as possible with an axe. Activities related to the timber industry and pastoralism, a craft fair, and a dance.

The "Passe-Partout" association is organizing the oldest wood festival in Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin.
Lumberjack competition: preliminary rounds with fallen logs and a final round with standing trees. Activities related to woodworking and forestry throughout the weekend: demonstrations will be announced on-site throughout the day.

SATURDAY
Starting at 2:00 p.m.:
- Doubles pétanque tournament
- Craft fair, regional products, and flea market
- Passe-Partout chainsaw carving
- Passe-Partout competition
- Exhibition and demonstration of scale models of construction machinery (multi-purpose hall beneath the tourist office)

SUNDAY
- Starting at 10:00 a.m.: craft fair, regional products, flea market
- Exhibition and demonstration of scale models of construction equipment (multi-purpose hall beneath the tourist office)
- Starting at 2:00 p.m.: lumberjack competition
- Starting at 6:00 p.m.: award ceremony and raffle drawing
- Evening: outdoor dance with BENjYDj® (PLEASE NOTE: the fireworks display originally planned has been canceled due to drought)
