Located not far from the village center of Le Sappey en Chartreuse, the Marais des Sagnes is the largest high-altitude marsh in the Parc de Chartreuse. Covering 11 hectares, it comprises a mosaic of three natural environments: orchid meadows, reed beds and sedge meadows, and scattered willow woodlands. The site is home to 5 protected plant species, 5 mammal species and over 25 bird species.
The site is open to the public with signposting and light observation facilities.
