From Prémol to Luitel

From the Prémol parking lot (alt. 1080 m), take the small road closed to traffic that goes south and passes in front of the old Chartreuse de Prémol. Continue on the asphalt passing by the forest house in the direction of the Fontaine du Mulet at 1.4 km, and the Luitel lake at 2.43 km. After a small lake on your left, you reach a fork where you take a right to attack a steeper climb. You follow the yellow markings. You quickly find a new small forest road that you take on the right. After 350 m, you arrive at the intersection of La Fontaine du Mulet (alt. 1 105 m). Take a wide track on the left, always in the direction of
direction of the Luitel lake. Go straight up on the main trail, and when it makes a right turn, continue straight ahead. You pass under small rocky bars and, after a last climb, arrive at the entrance to the Luitel nature reserve, at the
Luitel nature reserve, at the outlet of Lake Luitel (alt. 1,270 m). Cross the small footbridge over the outlet (the stream that leaves the lake), and turn left towards the Chartreuse de Prémol. Go down straight ahead
to reach the Chamrousse road, which you cross once to continue on the opposite side of the road, then a second time, where you just have to follow it for a few dozen meters, to reach the Prémol parking on your left.
