Le Pacifique – CDCN

The main missions of Centres de développement chorégraphique (CDCN) are to support creation, dissemination, artistic and cultural education and training. Le Pacifique's new project aims to develop a hybrid and innovative CDCN.
While it remains committed to the emergence of new choreographers, the renewal of aesthetics and the dissemination of choreographic works, it also makes a point of supporting and offering, on an equitable basis, contemporary writing for the stage, as well as creations based on local resources: participative creations, experimental devices, protocols to be activated, urban wanderings, etc. The latter often blur the boundaries between creation, dissemination and artistic practice. The experience of participants and spectators is at the crossroads of practice and creation, and is shared by creating links.We approach stage creations with the same concern for multiplying different approaches to facilitate access and discovery for everyone. We take advantage of the fact that CDCN is a small organization to build on a large number of partnerships, not just with cultural establishments, to reach out to other audiences.
The question that arises from all these attempts is what new uses we can invent to ensure that our relationship with the living arts, and dance in particular, offers spaces for sharing and resistance to the atomization of society and the standardization of thinking.
